Pitti filati, l’edizione di luglio 2013.
On July 2-4, 2014 (and for the 75th time) Pitti filati, the main event for the yarn industry returns, concentrating on the winter yarn collections for the year 2015-2016. For three consecutive days Fortezza Da Basso in Florece will host the stands of all of the main Italian yarn producers, with a strong accent on the yarns for machine knitting, but several knitting yarns producers will also be hosted at the fair.
Pitti filati, as usual, is a research lab and an observatory that looks onto lifestyle trends. It presents world-scale excellence in yarns to its audience of international buyers and designers from the biggest names in fashion who come to Florence looking for creative inspiration. The main exhibition’s theme is MADE IN, which will explore the added value of the quality certification of a product made according to traditional methods with the highest possible craft-content while using the finest methods and most advanced technologies. As a journey through the cultural traceability that promotes national, regional and local specificities MADE IN is particularly relevant to a brand like Lane Cardate Biella (and therefore also Lane Cardate Handknitting). This main exhibition will be accompanied by several side events.
