Tiny Butterflies stitch

This small eyelet pattern creates a number of tiny butterflies. Knitted in our Nanna, it can be just the thing to embellish a child’s dress or jacket. The stitch is knitted on a multiple of 6 sts plus 9 for the simmetry. Work the stitch according to the instructions or to the chart below.

Row 3:  k2, [K1, yo, s2tog-k1-p2sso, yo] to last 7 sts, K1, yo, s2tog-k1-p2sso, yo, k3.
Row 5: K2, [k2tog, yo, k1, yo, ssk, k1] to last 7 sts, k2tog, yo, k1, yo, ssk, k2.
Row 7: K
Row 9: K1, k2tog, [yo, k3, yo, s2tog-k1-p2sso] to last 7 sts, yo, k3, yo, ssk, k1.
